On my sixteenth birthday, my mom gave me her old Pentax Spotmatic and insisted I learn how to shoot manually. I've been shooting ever since. The majority of my work has been focused around people. I find humans to be incredibly interesting and complex creatures. I find joy in capturing motion, like a kid jumping through the air. I also relish the process of creating a scene and compositing plates in Photoshop to depict a fantasy situation. Self-Portraiture has been a genre that I've been experimenting with since I was a young adult. Looking at myself as I grow and change as an artist and woman has been enlightening. In addition to people, I like to create food stories that are stunning, yet approachable. I hope to create images that make the viewer feel a genuine emotion or want to ask questions.
